To maximize the lifespan of your spark bottle and ensure it remains hygienic and in excellent condition, here are some important care and cleaning tips:
Care of the spark bottle
- Dry regularly and avoid leaving it damp for extended periods: This helps prevent lime scale buildup. If lime scale has formed, carefully remove it with vinegar or lemon juice.
- Do not clean in the dishwasher: The modularity of the bottle allows you to reach all areas easily. Instead, use a soft, damp cloth or a kitchen sponge and mild dish soap.
- Clean the sealing element: The sealing element in the bottle cap can be removed for cleaning. Make sure to reinsert it correctly afterward. Here is a video on cleaning the sealing element.
- Do not submerge the carboniser: The carboniser should not be submerged in water. If the filling valve is damp or wet after cleaning, make sure to dry it before the next use.
- Use olive oil: After thorough cleaning, a drop of olive oil on the bottle thread helps ensure the carboniser can be reattached smoothly.
Care of the refill station
- Do not submerge in water or clean in the dishwasher: Use a soft, damp cloth and mild dish soap for cleaning. Avoid abrasive or chemical cleaners and sharp tools.
- Completely dry: The refill station must be completely dry before the next use.
- Clean the movable platform: The movable platform can be removed for cleaning. Here is a video on cleaning the movable platform.
